I appreciate that Pastor Hilligoss stands for Biblical truth in this engaging, easy-to-read book. He tackles subjects that some Christians shy away from or take issue with, topics like absolute truth, sexual purity, race, gay marriage, holiness, heaven and hell. Unlike many today, the author allows no ambiguity: the Bible is the Word of God, and what it says about sin and holiness is absolute truth. I liked everything he said, but I wish he would have covered what I consider the most serious issue of our day: abortion. All the other issues he addresses are critically important, but we need an honest conversation from a Biblical perspective about abortion.Product details

Great book, definitely worth the read!
I'd say that just about everyone will identify with at least one of the topics, all of which are well addressed in Pastor Hilligoss's thoughtful book.
This book addresses issues that are difficult for me to articulate my thoughts and beliefs on. The book is easy to read and it gives scripture to back up the beliefs. They are not taken out of context, but truly show God's heart. I have already quoted it many times and it has changed me by opening my eyes to some things I needed to change. I am grateful for the way it is easy to read and understand and at the same time it convicts us all to take an honest look at some of our beliefs on these topics.
Excellent!! Pastor Jack does a great job discussing topics that many Christians want to avoid. His explanations and real-life examples make each topic relatable and understandable. This book is an easy read and will help arm Christians with the knowledge of God's word and how to share scripture based explanations to others who are learning about Christ or who have hard questions on difficult topics.
I would highly recommend this book to any one who desires a deeper understanding of what the bible say about many issues we have in society today. You can read this book a dozen times and still find something that you did not see before. I have read every chapter at least twice. I read a chapter than go back and read it again. I always feel like there is more information that I want to absorb. I often wish I had this book with me when certain topic become a part of the conversation. I would open it up and read it word for word. You will not regret purchasing this book.
I imagine all the 5 star reviews are coming from the people who know this pastor. It's nothing I haven't heard before and if you are a church-goer I'll bet you've heard it too.
This book is full of teachings addressing the issues we face in society today. It is based on the Word of God, not someone's opinion. It is well written, conversational rather than narrative. The reader is invited in, to consider the truth being presented and the final conclusion is that Word of God is the final authority on all of the issues in society regardless of what is considered politically correct. These truths are timeless and applicable to every people group. My husband and I received our books two weeks ago and completed them over a weekend. I have highlighted throughout and shared several quotes from the book. This book is well worth your time and investment. Pastor Jack Hilligoss is a pastor, community leader, and world changer. His teaching is bible based, straight forward and communicated in layman terms. I highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
